Organic Acid Library


Organic acids are compounds with acidic properties. They serve as intermediates of major carbon metabolism in plant cells and are involved several biochemical pathways including glycolysis, the glyoxylate cycle, the TCA cycle and photorespiration. They also play a role as signaling messengers and modulators of transport across biological membranes.  Because of the wide spectrum of roles that these compounds serve, they are especially exciting compounds to study in the field of metabolomics.

Organic Acid Metabolite Library of Standards (OAMLS) is a collection of 96 high quality organic acids.  Metabolite libraries make it simple to locate hundreds of metabolites in metabolomics analysis, most commonly used in metabolite qualification and quantification for MS and phenotypic screening.

Preparation Instructions Compounds can either be used as standards and injected individually or a strategy may be employed to pool compounds to allow multiple mixture to be analyzed per injection. For more information, please refer to the Product Sheet.

Storage/Stability Recommended storage once solubilized at –20 °C, long-term at –80 °C; protected from moisture and light.  Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
